September Faculty

Aaron Tolson

A native of Manchester, New Hampshire, Aaron Tolson continues to make his mark by championing the  movement of the art form of Tap in several arenas. Mr. Tolson is a national spokesperson for dance wear company SoDanca, a consultant and writer for Dance Spirit Magazine, a Professor of Dance at Plymouth State University and the Boston Conservatory, as well as the assistant choreographer, co-creator and assistant producer of the acclaimed  stage production Imagine Tap!.

Aaron started dancing at the age of ten in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Four years into his dance career he was performing in the Great Tap Reunion at the Apollo Theatre. He attended St. John's University obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications all the while honing his tap technique in Manhattan. His senior year of college landed him in the New York Shakespeare Festival tap program, also known as Funk U! Soon Aaron became a company member of Manhattan Tap and worked with the show Tap Dogs. Jumping feet first into choreography, he landed a job with Absolut with a tour called Absolut Tap! 
 
In 2005, Aaron completed a six-year run with Riverdance, the internationally acclaimed show with performances on Broadway and Radio City Music Hall where he was a featured soloist and dance captain. Since then, Aaron has performed and taught at numerous tap festivals, in addition to performing with Brookline Chorus’ Duke Ellington Sacred Concert, The Late Late Show with Liam O’Conner in Ireland and on Globo TV representing the Brazil International Tap Festival.
 
Most recently, Aaron was featured on Dance.com and has choreographed, produced and directed Something to Tap About and Tapped and Tapped In - featuring New England Tap Ensemble. Aaron formed New England Tap Ensemble in May of 2007 to promote the art of tap in the community while fostering a sense of individuality in a professional artist. Connect with Aaron on Twitter @taphero.

 

Kaitlynn Briggs

Kaitlynn is enthusiastic about working with children and teaching dance. She graduated with a BA in Dance Education from Bridgewater State University in 2013 where she was on both the Bridgewater State Dance Team and Company. In addition to her degree and experience, Kaitlynn has continued with her professional development with certifications in the Acrobatic Arts, Intro to Preschool Dance, and Choreography and Composition. Ballet, and has recently created a program that fuses preschool objectives with literacy and dance. Kaitlynn's mission is to show that dance is for everybody.

 


Jody Dombrowski

Jody Dombrowski received  his dance education  from the State University of New York at Buffalo where he was the resident choreographer for the Zodiaque Dance Company. This choreographer and dancer, performed with such notables as the Zodiaque Dance Company, as principle dancer and choreographer; the Greater Buffalo Opera Company, as principle dancer; as well as many televised events.

Jody’s love for dance has taken him across the United States, Canada and the Bahamas judging for major competitions and teaching at many conventions and workshops. He has also had the privilege to choreograph for many competitive studios and loves sharing his knowledge and passion for dance to all of his students. His students have won top honors at the regional and national levels of competition. Many are dancing professionally in touring companies, on Broadway, cruise lines, television and movie work throughout the world. He has also been awarded numerous choreography awards for his unique style and creativity.  He has choreographed opening numbers for Dance Masters of America where he is also a member, and opening numbers for many national finals.

Jody's skills and knowledge of all forms of dance make him a much sought-after judge, teacher and choreographer.


Juliet Brown

Juliet is from Norwell, MA and started her training at the Boston Ballet School located in Norwell. After 5 years with Boston Ballet she began training with South Shore Ballet Theatre and upon graduating received a contract with Columbia Classical Ballet in SC where she danced for two seasons. In 2020 she danced with the Paris Opera Ballet as an understudy for Concerto Barocco. Her repertoire includes Sugar Plum and Snow Queen from The Nutcracker, Shades Pas De Trois from La Bayadere, Cinderella in Cinderella, and Four Little Swans from Swan Lake. Miss Juliet is eager and enthusiastic about inspiring our dancers to love and truly understand ballet.
